Day 4: Fort Lauderdale -What starts with a fish bowl ends with a floating pink donut

We planned this day (or rather didnt plan it) to keep it simple. A day at the beach (at least until the storm came in) and then swim in the pool. The storm, however came early. Seeing it come Nate, Kate and the kids left early. Leaving Brandon and myself in the ocean taking advantage of the larger waves on the boogie board. It was still pretty lame boogie boarding but, we stayed until the lifegaurds told us to leave. The sky was grey and the wind blew like crazy; the red warning flag snapped irratically in the wind. We grabbed the remaining items on the beach and hurridly left. The oceans water mixing with the rain on our skin.

Once returning to the hotel and cleaning up Brandon, Nate and myself went out to fix a few cravings. I wanted fish and chips and they wanted buffalo wings. We ended at Lulu's. Sharing 2 fishbowls, an order of fish and chips, and buffalo wings. We were all very happy when we left; smiling and carrying our last fishbowl, unfinished, for Kate.

World Famous Fishbowl (84 ounces)

We went to the pool. Kate and Nate stayed on deck. Brandon, myself, and Casi played keep away. Boy vs the girls. It was obviously unfair and the girls ruled over the boy. Other kids joined, diving, yelling, splashing. The girls still ruled. Tanner choosing to stay away from the caos told a little girl "stay away becuase you might get hurt".It was good advice.

Three hours later Brandon was despirate. He grabed a childs flotation device, a small pink donut, from the water, held it over his head, and exclaimed "We have the pink donut". The owner, a 5 year old little girl was NOT very happy. The girls grandma gave Nate crusties. The party was over.

We all went back to our room. I had a nap. When I woke, I realized that our day at the pool ruined my pedicure.

  3. Playing in the pool after multiple fishbowls? Possibly dangerous. But definitely awesome.

  4. Casi-Its was pretty fun! I can still see Brandon running around on Deck trying to find the board you hid. You were the best at hiding that thing!

Katie- Sorry I scared ya with the title. LOL!

Erin- It was only dangerous if all the adults were partaking. We had babysitters just in case we got out of hand. Plus I don't have too much fishbowl, its not like I woke up to pictures of dirty girl wrestling or the smell of beer-breath filled sleeping pads!
