Things I overheard: NOT!

Tanner: "Mom! Shhhh!"

Me: *silence* I even stop moving.

Tanner: "Did you hear that?"

Me: "What?"

Tanner: "That bird!" He then mimics the sound. "Churp, Churp, Buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

Me: I know what he is talking about and I hear the first two notes but, not the buzz. I move closer to the window.

Tanner: "You don't hear that?"

Me: "Not all of it." I open the window. The birds entire song floods in.

Tanner: "Does Dad know you're deaf?"

(I hope to buy one of his prints one day).

  1. HEY DEAFO!!! Always in trouble with that dad character aren't you, too funny.
We love Charley Harper pics too. For a time, Bayli was obsessed with borrowing his books from the library. -Lisa

  2. That gave me a good laugh. I am not one to laugh out loud at anything but I can imagine Tanner saying that and it made me laugh. Love him!

  3. I have so been there. Melissa is always telling me that someone is at the door, the dryer is done, asking me what is that sound, that I can't hear. I have come to trust her more than myself. Its very cute that he picked out the bird song.

  4. Kids keep us humble that's for sure. I was telling Jensen about some things that were going on at my mom's retirement apartment. He looked a question, and I said "It's for old people. Do you know any old people?" He replied, "Just you." Went through an entire box of tissues. ;-)
