Here are the answers from my last post. Don't feel silly if you got the wrong answers, identification of a black widow is notoriously difficult. There is so much variation and overlap in characteristics that it is not always possible to name a given specimen with certainty.
The first two are harmless house spiders.
The third is a male or juvenile Black Widow. Neither carries the poison and are harmless. Male Black Widows tend to be much smaller and narrower than females. They also tend to have white lines on the abdomen in addition to the red markings.
The last one should have been easy; a Female Black Widow. Note the red hour glass, barley visible in this picture. You have to admit she is pretty. Look how shiny she is! And, black is always in!
